Free Ride FestivalThe Free Ride Nations Cup or the IFWA (International Freeride Water Craft Association) at Bali is the supercharged jet skis competition, which is held at Bali beaches. This sport has earned international recognition and viewership. Ski Jet Riders from all corners of the world gather for the roaring surf championship that is held for big prize money. This sport was established in 1999 in order to promote a new category of sports, called as ‘free riding’.

The Free Ride Nations Cup event is organized yearly by the IFWA, which is held usually in the month of September. Top athletes perform death defying feats on the jet skis. Worldwide tourists and viewers anxiously wait for this event to see the appreciative mid-air somersaults and the crash between the machine, man and the waves. The ski riders do amazing perilous jumps and perform almost impossible turns, skimming across the beach water.

The players from New Zealand, Africa, Italy, France and other parts of world participate in this vigorous deathly event. This competition has two classes- pro sit down and pro stand up. A committee of international judges set up the rules for the competition. This committee skillfully tallies the stunts and moves of the rider, and then score him accordingly. Huge prize money is presented to the winners by the owner of the event.
