Kuta Karnival is a multi-activity function held annually at the Kuta Beach, Bali. This colorful and vibrant festival has grandeur and a unique charm that of a typical Indonesian culture. This festival has acquired fame internationally and it is an excellent time to enjoy with families and friends. It is held for several days in the month of September.

This festival was organized and established in response to the devastating terrorist blast in the Island of Bali, in October 2002. In order to restore tourism and impose the brighter and promising image of Bali, various communities and people established Kuta festival after the major cleansing ceremonies and prayers in the memory lost lives. The first Kuta festival was held in 2003. After the tourists promotional programs, today this festival is being attainted and overcrowded with domestic and international participants and tourists. More than 90 thousand people participate year after year in several events.

Kuta Karnival is held along the one kilometer sandy Kuta Beach, which includes various beach sports, water activities and traditional art performances such as sunset dance, Balinese dance and other local dances. Street parade is usually accompanied by dancers, floats, unicyclists and gamelans. Various local and international bands perform wide range of music tastes along the Legain and Kuta Beach fronts. This includes Punk, Hip Hop, Blues Ethnic Fusion, Pop, Rock and Jazz. Visitors can also enjoy the live DJ sessions, cabaret shows, champion bartender performance, fashion shows and many other events. Various competitions are held such as skateboard competitions, surfing, Swimming, Paddle Rescue Board and Mini Iron Man. This festival also offers numerous Indonesian food cuisine stalls, children entertainment arena, games, balloons, clowns and crafts.
